INSPIRATION WALL

Inspiration Wall is an expansive kinetic installation in the foyer of the Merck Innovation Center. The choreography combines the dynamic interaction of the physical movement of the screens with the virtual movement of the images. The installation also reacts to the movement of visitors and changes its appearance and behaviour over the course of the day.

The system is engineered for 24/7 operation. It expands across almost 18 meters of a slightly convex wall space and consists of 72 screens arranged in 24 rows of three screens each. In addition to safe and low-maintenance operation, the wall must function absolutely noise-free. Therefore, the displays are moved from a remote drive room via cables.
